Smart Rotations

Traffic distribution is one of the key features of the tracker.
Flexible routing between landing and offer pages allows to engage more visitors and increase the performance of the ad campaign from the marketing point.

Random distribution, which is a default way of traffic delivery in BeMob campaigns, has some weak points from the point of marketing and engaging visitors. The visitors who access the same landing page / offer page several times may not be motivated to convert.

To avoid this scenario the option of smart traffic distribution can be used. Let’s see how it works.

Smart TD option allows you to route all incoming traffic according to a selected rotation type. It is aimed to increase a conversion rate through displaying different landing / offer pages for those who are visiting your ad campaign not for the first time or fixing these visitors on a particular landing page / offer.

There are four types of rotations: Paths Rotation, Paths & Landings Rotation and Paths & Landings & Offers Rotation

Let’s see how each of these types is working in BeMob.

Paths Rotation

Paths Rotation is a type of rotation when traffic is distributed between paths. At the same time landing pages and offers associated with these paths will be displayed randomly.

Here is the example of Paths Rotation:

  • Path 1 → Random landing page (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Random landing page (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)

After all available paths have been accessed by a visitor, the rotation cycle will be restarted beginning with Path 1.

Paths & Landings Rotation

Paths & Landings Rotation is a type of rotation when traffic is alternately distributed between paths and landing pages. At the same time offers associated with these landing pages will be displayed randomly.

Here is the example of Paths & Landings Rotation:

  • Path 1 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)
  • Path 1 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)

After all available landing pages have been accessed by a visitor, the rotation cycle will be restarted beginning with Path 1 → Landing page 1.

Paths & Landings & Offers Rotation

Paths & Landings & Offers Rotation is a type of rotation when traffic is alternately distributed between paths, landing pages and offers. Any of the campaign elements will not be displayed randomly.

Here is the example of Paths & Landings & Offers Rotation:

  • Path 1 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Offer page 1 (associated with this path)
  • Path 1 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Offer page 2 (associated with this path)
  • Path 1 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Offer page 1 (associated with this path)
  • Path 1 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Offer page 2 (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Offer page 1 (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Offer page 2 (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Offer page 1 (associated with this path)
  • Path 2 → Landing page 2 (associated with this path) → Offer page 2 (associated with this path)

After all available landing pages have been accessed by a visitor, the rotation cycle will be restarted beginning with Path 1 → Landing page 1 → Offer page 1.

Fix on is opposite to Rotations since it allows you to ‘fix’ a visitor on any path, landing page or offer page. At the same time a path, landing page or offer page your visitors should be fixed on will be selected randomly.

There are three types of fixations: Fix on Paths, Fix on Paths & Landings and Fix on Paths & Landings & Offers.

Fix on Paths

Fix on Paths is a type of fixation when traffic is fixed on the first displayed path.

Here is the example of Fix on Paths:

  • Path 1 → Random landing page (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)

As you can see, any traffic will never be redirected to Path 2 if this path is not the first displayed path. All visitors will be fixed on Path 1 and will see landing pages and offer pages associated with this path only.

Fix on Paths & Landings

Fix on Paths & Landings is a type of fixation when traffic is fixed on the first displayed path and landing page.

Here is the example of Fix on Paths & Landings:

  • Path 1 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Random offer page (associated with this path)

As you can see, any traffic will never be redirected to Path 2 if this path is not the first displayed path. Also, any traffic will never be redirected to Landing page 2 if this landing page is not the first displayed landing page.

All visitors will be fixed on Path 1 and Landing page 1 and will see offer pages associated with this path and this landing page only.

Fix on Paths & Landings & Offers

Fix on Paths & Landings & Offers is a type of fixation when traffic is fixed on the first displayed path, landing page and offer page.

Here is the example of Fix on Paths & Landings & Offers:

  • Path 1 → Landing page 1 (associated with this path) → Offer page 1 (associated with this path)

As you can see, any traffic will never be redirected to Path 2 if this path is not the first displayed path. Also, any traffic will never be redirected to Landing page 2 if this landing page is not the first displayed landing page. Finally, any traffic will never be redirected to Offer page 2 if this offer page is not the first displayed offer page.

All visitors will be fixed on Path 1,  Landing page 1 and Offer page 1.
